1. HAND WASH AT 20° OR WARM WATER
Mohair garments, being a natural fibre, may shed some hair. Regardless of its quality, it tends to form balls or peeling that can be removed with specific brushes.
We do not recommend washing mohair garments after each use. Due to its composition, it may retain some odours, so airing it out will be sufficient.
As it is a delicate fabric, it is advisable to wash mohair garments by hand using lukewarm water, a maximum of 20ºC. We recommend using a detergent specialised in wool garments. Do not rub the garment, leave it in the water for a few minutes and gently move the garment with your hand so that the detergent takes effect. Then, wring out the garment very carefully, without twisting it.
2. DRY HORIZONTALLY, OUTDOORS AND AWAY FROM THE SUN
We recommend drying your mohair garment outdoors, away from the sun, first by laying it flat on a towel to remove excess water. Then, let it dry horizontally.
It is important not to hang it or use clothespins, as this could cause the fabric to become deformed and leave marks.
Once dry, we recommend gently combing with a soft bristle brush to preserve its appearance.
3. AVOID IRONING
We recommend not ironing mohair garments to preserve their appearance. If you do, use a steam iron without touching the garment directly. Preferably never use an iron.
4. HOW TO STORE THE GARMENT
We recommend not hanging mohair garments as they may become deformed. They can be folded on a flat surface without any weight on top.
